A completely new system will be introduced in Ukraine instead of MSEK.
Ukraine plans to terminate the work of medical-social expert commissions (MSEK) by the end of 2024 and introduce a new system for assessing work capacity that allows for remote evaluation. This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal during a Cabinet meeting.
Overall, the new system will be oriented towards the needs of the people. The first step of the reform has already been initiated, and a draft law has been submitted to parliament defining the algorithm for assessing a person's daily functioning.
According to the new system, expert teams consisting of practicing physicians will assess the condition of patients based on the categories of permanent complete incapacity for work, permanent partial incapacity for work, and able-bodied individuals.
'The new system will be fully digitized and provide for the possibility of remote, distance, and on-site assessment. The main goal is to ensure maximum rehabilitation of a person, reintegrate them into active life, and adjust the workplace according to individual needs', said Denis Shmyhal.
It is also worth noting that the Cabinet is working on an updated system of economic insulation before mobilization.
