On the night of April 19 to 20, the curfew in the Kirovohrad region will be shortened. The Deputy Head of the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, Oleg Raikovych, reported that this measure will last from 00:00 to 4:00 AM. This decision was made as a result of the shelling by Russians of the cities of Sumy and Kryvyi Rih, so on Easter it was decided to increase the level of security.

To ensure safety, checks will be conducted in shelters and places of worship regarding the necessary actions during alerts. Meetings will also be held with communities, clergy, and believers to raise awareness of alert signals.

Typically, the curfew in the Kirovohrad region begins at 23:00 and lasts until 05:00.

This serves as a reminder of the significance of Holy Week, which precedes Easter. During this period, believers engage in additional spiritual preparation and adhere to dietary restrictions. It is also worth noting that in the night of the Easter celebration, food fairs will be held in Kyiv.

In recent years, the price of Easter baskets has significantly increased. For example, in 2022, the average cost of a basket was 1867 UAH, which is 64.5% higher than at the beginning of the war. The cost of the basket continues to rise, and in 2023 it amounts to 1468 UAH (+29.3%), while in 2024 it is expected to be 1581 UAH (+7.7%). Last year saw the largest price increase of 18.1%.

The contents of the Easter basket include various products such as Easter bread, eggs, lard, sausage, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, chicken, horseradish, and Ukrainian wine.
