Politico learned what Zelensky offered in exchange for US aid.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his team are offering Western partners access to Ukraine's natural resources in exchange for military aid from the United States. This proposal is made in order to gain support for victory in the conflict with Russia. The value of the deposits of valuable elements in Ukraine's subsoil is very large - several trillion dollars.
The Ukrainian authorities are considering two paths to a peace agreement. The first option involves freezing the conflict and refusing to join NATO. However, Politico believes this option benefits Russia. The second path involves continuing the war and receiving military assistance from partners. One of the elements of Zelensky's Victory Plan is access to Ukraine's natural resources for partners, so they can extract rare metals, which are valuable for modern technologies.
"The victory plan, which the head of the Ukrainian state publicly presented, is aimed at proving to the United States and other partners that helping Kyiv is not charity, but a two-way street," said Georgiy Tikhiy, a representative of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Experts believe that such a proposal might interest the new US President Donald Trump, as he is a pragmatist and businessman guided by his country's interests. However, such an agreement could also affect his reputation as a peacekeeper, because the war with Russia will last long.
Currently, the Ukrainian authorities do not see an opportunity for peace negotiations with Russia, so they seek support and assistance from Western partners.
