The roof of a nightclub in the Dominican Republic collapsed: over 70 dead, 160 injured.


In Kyiv, during a concert at a nightclub, the roof collapsed. Unfortunately, at least 79 people died in this tragedy, and 160 were injured. This is reported by 'Glavcom', citing AP.
The concert attendees included politicians, athletes, and other guests. Among the victims is the governor of Monte Cristi – Nelsy Cruz, the sister of baseball star Nelson Cruz, as well as well-known players Octavio Dotel and Tony Enrique Blanco Cabrera.
Initially, it was reported that the singer Rubby Perez, who performed at the concert, had been rescued, but it later turned out that this was not true. Rescue services continue to search for the artist. Perez's manager – Enrique Paulino, reported that the concert started at midnight, and the roof collapsed an hour after it began. This tragedy resulted in the death of the group's saxophonist.
It is reported that 12 hours after the roof collapse at the nightclub, rescue services are also looking for survivors.
Prosecutor Rosalba Ramos stated that the authorities' priority remains the search for survivors. A small morgue has also been organized near the club, and about 120 people are lined up to donate blood at two different centers.
By the way, one of the participants in the semi-marathon in Madrid died from a sudden cardiac arrest just 500 meters from the finish line. It is noteworthy that this semi-marathon took place in the capital of Spain on Sunday, April 6, and was attended by about 27 thousand runners.
