Priest of Moscow Patriarchate detained on suspicion of supporting Russia.

The Prosecutor's Office of Vinnytsia Region has sent an indictment to the court against a clergyman of the UOC (MP) from the Khmilnytskyi district of Vinnytsia region for supporting the occupiers.
According to the accusation, the church spiritual leader distributed text and video materials on his Telegram account that propagated pro-Russian ideology and an anti-Ukrainian position. He justified Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine, which began in 2014, and denied the crimes of the occupiers.
This information repeatedly originated from Russian Telegram channels, which tried to present the Russian war as an internal conflict of the Ukrainian people.
In such publications, Ukrainian servicemen were depicted as cruel aggressors, especially towards civilians, particularly women and children. At the same Time, Russian occupiers and illegal armed formations were presented as peacekeepers and liberators.
For this crime, a punishment of up to eight years in prison is provided.
Pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigation department of the SSU in Vinnytsia Region.
I draw attention to the fact that according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until his or her guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
