The scandalous commander of the 211th brigade, Poberezhnyuk, was detained and delivered to Kyiv.


In Kyiv, the commander of the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Poberezhnyuk, was detained and informed of suspicion for having information about the torture of servicemen but failing to react and not holding the officer accountable.
The senior lieutenant, who committed violence against subordinates, is the son of the brigade chief of staff. He had previously been informed of suspicion.
Oleg Poberezhnyuk was informed of suspicion for inaction in conditions of martial law or in combat situations, for which punishment is envisaged in the form of imprisonment for a term of 7 to 10 years.
The police of Ternopil region also informed Poberezhnyuk of suspicion regarding abuse of official power, as he involved subordinates in building his house instead of performing duties in the combat zone.
According to information, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is conducting a review of the facts of abuse in the 211th pontoon-bridge brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
