Forced evacuation of children from settlements in Donetsk region
In the Donetsk region, a decision was made regarding the forced evacuation of children with their parents or legal representatives from specific settlements in Selydove, Hrodivka, Kurakhivka, Myrnograd, Novohrodivka, and Illinivka communities. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.
Speaking about the decision, Filashkin noted that the evacuation is carried out from settlements located at a distance of 10 km from the demarcation line.
We transport families to an evacuation hub, and from there onwards to temporary residence locations in Rivne and Poltava regions, as well as other regions of Ukraine
Filashkin noted that armored vehicles provided by the police and the SES are used for the evacuation.
The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration stressed that, as a result of shelling, Toretsk is being destroyed daily by air bombs. According to him, 5.5 thousand people were evacuated to this city two weeks ago, and now only slightly more than three thousand residents remain there.
Filashkin also noted that the front-line territories of Donetsk region are currently inhabited by 63 thousand people, including 3.4 thousand children. However, due to the constant advancement of the front line, people are constantly leaving their homes.
Evacuation in Sumy region
In addition, an evacuation of the local population was announced in 23 settlements of five communities in the Sumy district. According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, this concerns the border zone at a distance of 10 km from the demarcation line.
