PFC explained special conditions for voluntary contributions for young parents.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained the conditions for making a voluntary contribution for oneself. This information was published by the press service of the PFC in response to a question from one reader. She wanted to know if she could pay a voluntary contribution while on child care leave. The woman was a teacher and was on leave until the child's three-year-old age.
"I am a teacher, on leave for child care until the child is three years old. Can I additionally pay a voluntary contribution for myself?"
The Pension Fund explained that both insured and uninsured persons can voluntarily participate in pension insurance according to the register of insured persons of the State Register of Compulsory State Social Insurance. Information about women who work and are on leave for child care until 3 years old is contained in the register of insured persons. Therefore, such women can participate in compulsory state pension insurance.
It is important to note that the period of child care leave until 3 years is included in the insurance period, and contributions from the minimum wage are paid for this period. Thus, by additionally paying a voluntary contribution, it is possible to increase the income that will be considered when calculating the pension. Detailed information on concluding a voluntary insurance contract is available on the Pension Fund's website.
We remind you that in Ukraine, basic social assistance of 4500 hryvnias was announced with an unexpected condition.
