Necessary Powerful Deterrents for Russia to Change the Course of the War - Ukraine at the OSCE.

Ukraine needs to implement powerful measures to stop the Russian war and compel Russia to recognize the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country. This statement was made by Viktoriya Kuvshynnikova, the acting permanent representative of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna, at a meeting of the Permanent Council of the OSCE.
'Russia is increasingly using terrorist methods to undermine Ukraine's resistance. Despite any 'peaceful ultimatums' from Moscow, Russia's objectives have remained unchanged for several decades. Russia continues to deny Ukraine's right to exist, considers Ukrainians and Russians to be one nation, and intends to turn Ukraine into a 'non-existent' state,' she stated.
Kuvshynnikova noted that the violation of Ukraine's neutrality in 2014, the continuation of the war after attempts to freeze the occupation of Crimea, failed ceasefires, violence, and the rising number of casualties among the civilian population - all of these need to be carefully analyzed before proposing new ideas to end the war.
She emphasized that Ukraine cannot compromise on the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty, as this is merely an invitation for future attacks on our country and others. We need powerful tools that will compel Russia to recognize our sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as support our European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. Only then will there be appropriate conditions for restoring peace and stability in Europe.
