Fuel prices will rise by over 9% at the end of 2024 - NBU
The NBU forecasts that fuel prices will rise by over 9% at the end of 2024. This is stated in the inflation report of the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to the regulator, in September, the increase in fuel prices slowed significantly to 6% compared to 25.5% in June. This figure turned out to be lower than the projected level.
Currently, the factors restraining the increase in prices for gasoline and diesel remain low oil prices and high stocks at gas station networks that were formed before the increase in excise duties. However, the NBU notes that this restraining effect will be short-term.
According to the data from the site vseazs.com, currently in the Odessa region, the average price of gasoline A-95 is 56.15 hryvnias per liter, while diesel fuel costs 51.24 hryvnias. In the Lviv region, A-95 costs 55.75 hryvnias, and diesel is 52.50 hryvnias per liter.
