Released defender reads a poem written in captivity to his mother: emotional video.


A Ukrainian defender who was released from captivity called his mother and read a poem he wrote while in captivity. In the video, distributed by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, it is visible how the soldier is nervous and forgets words due to excessive emotions.
In his poem, the released defender addresses his mother: «In this cruel war, I fought a deadly battle. Thank you for praying for me!»

Today, September 14, 23 fighters of "Azov" returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity. On the whole, on September 14, 103 Ukrainian fighters were freed: 82 privates and sergeants, 21 officers. The released defenders represent various regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Donetsk, Mariupol, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv. Among them are servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, border guards, and police officers.
Let us recall that yesterday, September 13, 49 civilians and military personnel, including soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, National Guard, national police, and border service, as well as civilians, returned from Russian captivity.
Furthermore, yesterday, for the first Time in more than a year, "Azov" fighters were returned from Russian captivity. However, currently, more than 900 "Azov" fighters are still in the captivity of the Russian Federation.
