Ukrenergo Surprised with the Forecast for Power Outages: What Ukrainians Can Expect on December 17.


The national power grid operator Ukrenergo reported that there will be no restrictions on electricity consumption on December 17.
This is stated in the official announcement of the company on social media.
The consumption level of electricity on December 16 was 1.5% higher compared to December 13. However, the daily maximum consumption on December 15 was 2.8% lower than on December 14.
Ukrenergo informs that the Ukrainian energy system is still recovering from massive attacks that occurred over the year. Due to power shortages and emergency repairs of energy facilities, hourly outages are taking place for household consumers and power restrictions for industry and business.
Ukraine intends to import electricity from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume of imports will be 21,226 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,142 MW in certain hours.
Ukrenergo also revealed a critical change in the operation of the networks during the blackout.
