In Ukraine, reduction coefficients for part of pensions have been canceled: who will be affected.

Servicemen will receive the full amount of pensions without restrictions
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has published explanations regarding the pension provision for servicemen who defended Ukraine from Russian aggression. According to a new resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, defenders of Ukraine will receive the full amount of pension payments without the application of reduction coefficients.
Special attention is paid to special pensions, the amount of which exceeds ten times the living wage for persons with disabilities. Restrictions will not be applied to participants in the anti-terrorist operation, the Joint Forces operation, and all those who directly participated in defending Ukraine from Russia's armed aggression.
'Pensions for persons who directly participated in measures to ensure national security and defense, repel and deter Russia's armed aggression, will be paid without the application of coefficients from January 2025,' it is stated in the official explanation of the PFU.
This rule also applies to pensions for loss of breadwinner, which are granted to the families of deceased, dead, or missing defenders of Ukraine.
The government's decision is an important step in ensuring social protection for servicemen and their families, who made significant contributions to the defense of Ukraine's territorial integrity.
New rules take effect from 2025
The new rules, which guarantee the preservation of the full amount of pension for servicemen who participated in defending Ukraine, will come into effect in critical 2025.
