There is not enough tomatoes in the Ukrainian market, which has led to price increases by importers.
According to analysts from the EastFruit portal, imported tomatoes currently cost between 75 and 85 hryvnias per kilogram, depending on the quality and volume of the batches. This is 25% more expensive than last week.
This price increase is explained by a decrease in the supply of imported tomatoes, particularly from Turkey. However, it is expected that supplies will increase starting next week, which will lead to price stabilization.
Tomato prices remain 10% lower than last year at the same Time.
