The government approved the budget report for 2024: 2.97 trillion UAH spent on defense.


The government approved the report on the execution of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2024, prepared by the Ministry of Finance. According to this report, the revenues of the State Budget in 2024 amounted to 3.12 trillion UAH, which is 1.212 trillion UAH more than provided by law. Of this amount, 473.9 billion UAH are grants from international partners. Expenditures amounted to 4.49 trillion UAH, which is 473.5 billion UAH more than in the previous year.
The security and defense sector is a priority for the government, so funding for this sector increased to 2.97 trillion UAH. Social spending was also increased to 579.2 billion UAH, which is 8.4% more than in 2023. Additionally, additional funds were attracted for infrastructure restoration, and the overall deficit of the state budget was executed below the established target.
The Ministry of Finance also conducted a restructuring of state eurobonds, which will contribute to budget stability and the preservation of financial resources for the defense of the country. In total, to ensure funding for the state budget, 638.4 billion UAH was attracted in the domestic market and 1,900.7 trillion UAH in foreign markets.
