Ukrainian refugees responded whether they want to return after the war: survey results.

According to the Norwegian Directorate of Integration and Diversity, many Ukrainians in Norway plan to stay there permanently even after the war ends. Only a small portion of refugees plan to return to Ukraine.
There has also been an increase in the number of minor Ukrainian refugees of adolescent age arriving in Norway.
Researcher Vilde Hernes noted that refugees who have already been in Norway for several years are most likely to want to stay forever, while among newcomers there are many who would like to settle in the country. Changes have also occurred in the number of young Ukrainian refugees aged 16-17, which may be related to the exit restriction after reaching 18 years due to mobilization.
It is worth noting that in January 2023, in a similar survey, one in three Ukrainian refugees expressed a desire to remain in Norway.
