Firewood prices in Ukraine are currently rising. According to information from the state enterprise 'Forests of Ukraine', in the third quarter of this year, prices for industrial firewood increased by 20%. The average cost of softwood species is 1.65 thousand UAH per cubic meter, conifers - 1.83 thousand UAH/m³, and hardwoods - 1.9 thousand UAH/m³. As for firewood for non-industrial use, their prices also rose from 824 to 1.14 thousand UAH/m³, depending on the species.

'This is exclusively related to the increase in the cost of harvesting - we had to raise the maximum rates for harvesting teams. Social prices do not even include the costs of reforestation. We urge Ukrainians not to wait for the start of the heating season and to buy firewood now, in the summer.'
'Currently, purchasing firewood is a completely transparent process. We are abandoning cash payments and switching to online payment to eliminate corruption risks.'

In total, firewood prices in Ukraine have risen by 20%. Experts recommend not to delay their purchase, as the cost of timber may continue to rise. Furthermore, thanks to the switch to online payments, the process of acquiring firewood is becoming more transparent.

Ukrainians should hurry to purchase firewood, as their prices continue to rise, and also to limit corruption risks through online payment. It is recommended to make purchases in the summer, without waiting for the start of the heating season.
