Ukraine will gain access to the secret Starshield signal on Starlink satellites.

SpaceX, founded by Elon Musk, has signed a contract with the Pentagon that grants Ukraine access to the Starlink satellite network in its military version known as Starshield.

According to Bloomberg, the 2500 Starlink terminals already available in Ukraine will gain access to Starshield, which is more secure and harder to hack or jam. Previously, such access was only granted to 500 Starlink terminals.

According to Bloomberg sources: 'A total of 3000 terminals are serviced under two contracts aimed at facilitating internet connectivity in Ukraine. Both contracts provide services until 2025.'

It appears that the contract was signed in August of this year, prior to Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential elections and Joe Biden's announcement of military aid to Ukraine. Biden made this move to provide Ukraine with more resources, considering Trump's potential pressure on President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding relations with Russia.

The cost of this contract is currently unknown. However, a previous contract with the European Command of the US Armed Forces for 500 terminals cost approximately 40 million dollars.

Recall that Biden promised to 'arm Ukraine to the teeth.'
