Ukraine is preparing for the opening of three negotiation clusters with the EU
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, stated that Ukraine plans to start negotiations with the European Union on all clusters by the end of 2025. By June this year, it is expected that three clusters covering various areas of European legislation will be opened.
'We expect to have the opening of three clusters by June, and by the end of this year - the opening of all clusters. The task for the Ukrainian parliament and the government is to do everything necessary for this.'
The Government of Ukraine plans to approve a special roadmap that will outline specific steps to fulfill eurointegration commitments. It will include relevant legislative acts, actions for the implementation of these laws, adoption of subordinate acts, and characteristics of reforms in accordance with EU standards.
According to Ruslan Stefanchuk, Ukraine must undertake a series of changes related to the rule of law, public service, public governance, and other areas. The opening of negotiation clusters indicates Ukraine's readiness to discuss the conditions for aligning national legislation with EU norms.
Ukraine is actively working to meet the conditions for joining the European Union, demonstrating significant progress in the areas of reform and addressing important issues for compliance with European standards and goals.
