Fighting continues in the Pokrovsk direction
Heavy fighting is currently ongoing in the Pokrovsk direction. The enemy outnumbers us in strength. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.
According to the Commander-in-Chief, Ukraine is forced to adopt unconventional solutions to strengthen defense and more effectively eliminate the occupiers.
'The battles are of an exceptionally fierce nature. The Russian occupiers are throwing all available forces forward, trying to break through the defenses of our troops,' Syrsky said.
He noted that Ukrainian soldiers are demonstrating great resilience and inflicting significant losses on the enemy near Pokrovsk. He emphasized that under such conditions, the main task is to strengthen the defense, particularly by ensuring that units have a sufficient supply of ammunition and constantly replenishing it.
Syrsky heard information about the existing problems and gave appropriate orders. The Commander thanked the soldiers for their courage and resilience in the fight against the enemy.
The Institute for the Study of War assesses the situation
According to a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the command of the Russian armed forces is likely to continue sacrificing equipment and forces to achieve tactical territorial gains during offensive operations to capture Pokrovsk by 2025.
It was previously reported that from December 12, gas supply to homes in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region will be halted due to constant shelling by the Russian occupiers.
Russian invaders replenish their units
According to the commander of the 108th Separate Battalion Wolves Da Vinci, Serhiy Filimonov, Russian invaders are replenishing their units with hundreds of new soldiers every month. He stressed that Ukraine could lose the city very soon.
