The 'Alternative for Germany' party is gaining popularity among German voters.
According to the latest INSA poll, the party has reached a historic high of 23.5%. This means it has been able to reduce the gap with the CDU/CSU, which has 27% support, to 3.5 percentage points.
German Binkert, head of the opinion research institute, called this figure the highest in the history of support for the 'Alternative for Germany'.
In coalition formation negotiations, the Social Democratic Party of Germany ranks third with 14.5% support. The fourth and fifth places are occupied by the 'Greens' (12%) and 'Left' (10.5%).
Experts predict that the popularity of the 'Alternative for Germany' may continue to grow. Analysis shows that the party's maximum support is 30.5%.
