12 people killed, 44 injured in Konstantinovka due to Russian missile strike.


In the city of Konstantinovka, located in Donetsk region, Russia carried out a missile strike, as a result of which 12 civilians were killed and 44 people were injured. This information was reported by Ruslan Osipenko, the head of the National Police Department of Donetsk region.
According to preliminary data, the militants used the X-38 missile to shell the city. As a result of the attack, four private houses, a shopping center, a post office, shops, a car wash, and cars were damaged.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky previously reported about the strike on civilian objects - a supermarket and a post office. "People are under the rubble. A rescue operation is ongoing, and everything will be done to save people," wrote the head of state on social media on August 9, 2024.
Emergency and rescue work with the participation of all necessary services is constantly carried out at the scene of the tragedy. Information about the victims and destroyed buildings is constantly updated.
President Zelensky emphasized Russia's responsibility for this terrorist act and stated: "Russia is responsible for this act of terrorism, and we will do everything possible to ensure that the world continues to stand with Ukraine, support our defense, and save the lives of our people."
