Decline in demand for tomatoes in Ukraine
The Ukrainian market continues to see a decline in demand for greenhouse tomatoes. According to EastFruit analysts, Ukrainian traders are dissatisfied with the trading volume in this segment. Large retail chains purchase the bulk of the goods, but small batches are needed to maintain assortment. It is noted that deliveries from Turkey ensure a sufficient quantity of vegetables in the market.
Currently, prices for tomatoes in Ukraine are 12% lower than at the end of March 2024. Prices for this product may continue to decrease as tomato supply is stable and demand is low.
