Family business - in Odesa, father and son were freeing people from the army.

Father and son from Odesa, who worked in law enforcement, organized a scheme to 'free' men from military service. However, they were uncovered and detained; the culprits face imprisonment.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigations.
Details of the case
Father and son - employees of one of the law enforcement agencies in Izmail, offered men to exclude them from search and military accounting databases. The service cost was 7 thousand USD. After receiving the money, the criminals transferred personal data and photographs of the men to an accomplice from the TCC and SP department. He entered false information into the databases, including supposedly established unfitness for service by a decision of the military medical commission.
The individuals were detained while receiving the next part of the bribe.
What punishment threatens
The suspects were informed of suspicion under part 3 of article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (receiving unlawful benefits by an official). They face 5 to 10 years of imprisonment with property confiscation. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a period of 60 days with the possibility of bail ranging from 1.5 to 2 million UAH.
Recall that recently we wrote about the business of a Mykolaiv official on supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And also about the scheme of earning on non-existent servicemen.
Events show that corruption does serious harm to Ukrainian society, especially when it penetrates such key areas as the country's defense and law enforcement agencies. Swift punishment of corrupt officials and uncovering their activities is an important step in the fight against this crime.Read also
