Russia engages Afghans through 'Taliban' for the 'restoration' of occupied territories.

Russian media reports that the 'Taliban' has agreed to increase the flow of specialists to Russia tenfold. The agreement was reached at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 20. This became possible after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and Russia's aggression in Ukraine.
The head of the Russian Business Center in Afghanistan, Rustam Khabibullin, reports that the 'Taliban' is increasing the flow of 'highly qualified specialists' to Russia tenfold.
In April 2025, the Russian Supreme Court removed the 'Taliban' from the list of terrorist organizations, opening the way for cooperation. Since then, the Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed intentions to deepen cooperation with Afghanistan. At the same Time, Russian lawmakers approved a law allowing stateless persons to sign military contracts to participate in the conflict in Ukraine's Donbas.
Russia is ramping up cooperation with the 'Taliban' to increase the flow of specialists to the country. The agreement was made after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the intensification of Russian aggression in Donbas. Such actions by Russia may have serious consequences for the stability in the region and the security of Ukraine.
