The Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland explained the three conditions under which Ukrainians will return from abroad.

Ukrainians currently abroad will not return to Ukraine until conditions for their safety, economic development, and country recovery are created. This statement was made by the Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland, Vasyl Bodnar, in an interview with Radio Liberty. According to him, safety, peace, economic development, and stable jobs are the main conditions for normal life. However, not everyone who can return does so. There are various reasons why people stay abroad, for example, better working conditions found or fear of returning to combat zones. To encourage people to return, it is necessary to create conditions for safety, economic development, and country recovery. Additionally, it is important to ensure communication with Ukrainians in Poland, which will help them feel comfortable and maintain connections with Ukraine. Safety is the primary condition for people to return to Ukraine, but attention must also be paid to restoring housing and infrastructure, which stimulates citizens to come back home.
Conditions for safety and development are needed
The director of the Institute of Demography and Social Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ella Libanova, also emphasized that the state should provide a social status to refugees who are in Ukraine.
