Utility Benefits: Who Can Receive Them and What Documents Are Needed.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine explained what documents war veterans should provide in order to receive benefits for housing and utility services through a simplified application.
Now, when a large number of war veterans need state support, it is important to have information on how to easily and quickly obtain the necessary benefits. Many are interested in what documents need to be gathered to apply for discounts on utility services through the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine clarified that war veterans and their family members who want to receive utility benefits must contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine. This can be done through the Fund's electronic services portal. According to new rules approved by the government at the end of 2023, the process has become simpler. To submit an application, it is necessary to add a document that contains information about your housing at the specified address where you wish to receive benefits.
This is established by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1395 dated December 27, 2023, 'On the Implementation of an Experimental Project to Improve the Accounting of War Veterans and Provide Them with Benefits for Utility Payments, Purchase of Solid Fuel, and Gas in Cylinders.'
For this, the following information is required:
- total and heated area of the residential premises/building/part of it (if bills are split);
- characteristics of the building (individual or multi-apartment);
- number of floors in the building.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine emphasized that this information is necessary for accurate calculation of the benefit size.
A document that confirms this information can be, for example, a receipt for payment for housing services and the use of thermal energy.
Earlier, the Pension Fund of Ukraine explained how to submit a simplified application for utility payment benefits.
