Pensioners can avoid paying for gas delivery: Ukrainians were told how.

Ukrainians have been explained how pensioners can avoid paying for gas delivery.
According to the modern gas payment system in Ukraine, consumers have to pay for gas itself and a separate bill for its delivery. This system can create problems for pensioners.
It should be noted that there are no special tariffs or benefits for pensioners regarding gas. Even if a person does not use gas but is connected to the gas network, they still have to pay for the transportation of gas based on minimal indicators.
The only way for pensioners to completely avoid these costs is to disconnect from the gas network.
As for the cost of gas, the company 'Naftogaz' has set the price at 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter for the population. This price will be valid until April 30, 2026, due to a moratorium on gas price increases. However, specialists urge consumers to pay their bills on Time and responsibly.
If a consumer wants to completely stop receiving gas and avoid paying for its delivery, they must officially terminate the contract with the gas company serving the house. To do this, the following steps must be taken:
- Obtain a special act confirming the cessation of gas supply.
- Submit an official application to the gas distribution network operator for contract termination.
After all documents are processed, company representatives will come to the address and physically disconnect the house from the gas network. This will be done by closing shut-off devices or installing a plug and sealing it.
If the gas company refuses to terminate the contract or delays the process, the consumer has the right to file a complaint with the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKP).
Previously, we reported that from May 1, changes will occur for Ukrainians.
