Pajett: The USA is closely monitoring the reforms of 'Ukrenergo' and 'Energoatom'.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Jeffrey Pajett expressed his interest in the energy reforms in Ukraine, particularly in protecting the state companies 'Ukrenergo' and 'Energoatom' from political influence.
Pajett, who was previously the ambassador to Ukraine, noted that he has been observing the reforms in Ukraine for the past ten years and acknowledges their progress. He highlighted the increase in 'Naftogaz's' reporting on mineral extraction as a success in the fight against corruption.
It should be noted that the protection of state energy companies from political influence is provided for in the second memorandum on energy cooperation between the USA and Ukraine, which was signed on December 3. The USA will allocate 825 million dollars to Ukraine to support energy, but only if progress is made in the reform of 'Ukrenergo,' 'Energoatom,' and other important sectors of energy.
