The spokesperson for UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Stephane Dujarric, stated that the UN considers the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, legitimate. This came after statements from US leader Donald Trump, who called Zelensky 'a dictator without elections.' The UN does not support Trump's words, as Zelensky became president after duly conducted elections.
In recent days, Zelensky has faced criticism from Trump regarding election issues. Trump believes Ukraine should hold new elections since the current president's popularity is only 4%.
