Member of Parliament from the 'Servant of the People' faction, Serhiy Nahornyak, reported that the new Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk, will be invited to the committee. The deputies plan to discuss the completion of the Khmelnytskyi NPP. Nahornyak shared this in an interview on 'Morning.LIVE' on Friday, July 18.

'The committee has not yet communicated with Ms. Hrynchuk. Perhaps next week, when she is ready, we will definitely invite her to the committee and have a conversation, and hear not just posts on Facebook, but live about key issues,' said the deputy.

He clarified that it concerns the completion of the Khmelnytskyi NPP, protective structures of Ukrenergo, as at the substations they are still not 100% ready and what plans are being made in this direction and at what costs.

Also, the new minister will be expected to make decisions regarding the strategy for finding funds for gas purchases from the EU.

'And it is important that Ms. Svitlana engages 100% and the focus must be on finding resources together with Naftogaz,' clarified Nahornyak.

He believes that Hrynchuk could leverage her experience in communication with Western partners, which she gained while serving as Deputy Minister of Energy and Minister of Ecology.

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada approved the new composition of the Cabinet, which includes Svitlana Hrynchuk, heading the Ministry of Energy.

In her new position, she will be engaged in energy development, searching for ways to stabilize energy in the face of possible Russian attacks on our energy facilities.

According to the report from Member of Parliament Serhiy Nahornyak, the new Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk, will be invited to the committee to discuss important issues regarding energy, including the completion of the Khmelnytskyi NPP and the strategy for finding funds for gas purchases from the EU. Nahornyak expressed hope that the new minister will find resources for the development of the industry and support the energy stability of Ukraine.
