Social media has reported information about large wasps that have appeared in Dnipro and northern Chernihiv region. An expert explained that these insects are not dangerous to humans, and their coloration helps to scare off enemies. In Dnipro, the number of wasps is increasing due to the presence of many trees and stumps. According to the State Ecological Inspection in Chernihiv region, wasps are one of the largest species of wasps in Europe, and their increase in cities may be related to climate changes. Overall, the presence of such insects in urban areas may indeed be linked to ecological changes and the spread of settlements.
