A new alarm alert system has been introduced in Dnipropetrovsk region.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, testing of a new air raid alert announcement system has begun, reports Glavcom, referring to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Serhiy Lysak.
Now the air raid alert will be zonal. This means that when danger is only present in a specific area, alerts will be announced there. For the rest of the region, there will be a 'green' alert, – he explained.
Changes in the alert system regarding threats will positively affect the educational process and the functioning of businesses and government institutions, Lysak noted.
Now we will be working on this local approach in practice. So for now, everything is in test mode, – he added.
In March, the distribution of air raid alerts was implemented in Zaporizhzhia region, announcing them separately for Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region, depending on the level of threat.
A new air raid alert system has also been introduced in pilot mode in Cherkasy region. The 'Air Raid Alert' signal is received by the specific area where there is a threat, and in case of missile danger, an air raid alert is announced for the entire region.
In 2024, the highest number of air raid alerts was in Donetsk – 165 days, and the longest air raid alert lasted for 50 hours, 31 minutes, and 18 seconds in Kharkiv region.
It is also worth noting that a nighttime drone attack resulted in large-scale fires in Kharkiv, where residential buildings, garages, and other structures were destroyed, and vehicles were damaged.
