Every twentieth man in Ukraine could die or suffer serious injuries in the war - media.

According to The Economist, as of November 2024, the Ukrainian army has already lost at least 60,000 to 100,000 soldiers due to the Russian invasion. About 400,000 fighters have also been injured and forced to leave service. It is noted that these figures are credible, as they are based on intelligence data and official reports. However, it is difficult to confirm the numbers, as many military personnel who went missing are not recorded in the reports. It should be taken into account that these figures do not include the dead among the civilian population.
A source of information for journalists is the UAlosses website, which keeps track of the losses of the Ukrainian army throughout the war. According to this resource, since February 2022, at least 60,435 soldiers have already been killed.
'The numbers indicate that more than 0.5% of men of fighting age have died, which constitutes the pre-war population of Ukraine. The actual number of dead and wounded is even higher. Given that for every soldier killed in action, there are six to eight seriously wounded, almost every 20th man of fighting age can no longer participate in combat operations,' the article states.
