Ukrainian Legions in European Championships
Last weekend, nine out of 11 players of the national team of Ukraine, called up by Serhiy Rebrov for the Nations League playoff matches against Belgium, played for their clubs in European championships.
This was reported by 'Glavkom' referring to UAF.
In the English Premier League:
- Yehor Yarmoluk (Brentford) played a full match in the victory over 'Ipswich' (1:0).
- Vitalii Mykolenko (Everton) scored a goal in the game against 'Fulham' (3:1).
- Illia Zabarnyi (Bournemouth) was substituted at the end of the match in the loss to 'Aston Villa' (0:1).
Other Championships
In La Liga, Viktor Tsygankov (Girona) played 66 minutes in the match against 'Villarreal' (0:1). In Portugal, Anatolii Trubin (Benfica) played all 90 minutes in the draw with 'Sporting' (1:1).
In MLS, Oleksandr Svatok (Austin) played a full match in the loss to 'Cincinnati' (1:2). Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal) came on as a substitute in the draw with 'Liverpool' (2:2).
In Greece, Roman Yaremchuk (Olympiacos) helped the team defeat 'Panathinaikos' (1:0). In Italy, Artem Dovbyk (Roma) was substituted in the match against 'Atalanta' (1:2).
Also, we remind you that 'Paris Saint-Germain' reached the Champions League final by defeating 'Arsenal' in the semifinals.
