Energy consumption has increased: Ukrenergo appeals to Ukrainians with a call.

Increase in electricity consumption in Ukraine
The press service of Ukrenergo reported that electricity consumption in Ukraine has increased due to cold weather. The cool weather in May with night frosts has led to a heightened level of energy consumption, requiring a change in the timing of active electricity use, considering factors affecting the situation in the energy system.
'During clear weather, it is possible to avoid a power deficit in the energy system thanks to the effective operation of solar power plants. However, on cloudy and rainy days, such additional generation still turns out to be insufficient. It is especially important to save energy in the evening - from 18:00 to 22:00, when the power of solar power plants rapidly decreases to zero,' the company explained.
In conditions of increased electricity consumption, Ukrainians are urged to follow simple recommendations: during sunny weather, shift the use of powerful equipment to daytime, and on cloudy days, decentralize the use of electrical appliances to later times, outside peak load hours, and use electricity efficiently.
'Following these simple tips will help balance the energy system and ensure reliable electricity supply for all consumers,' Ukrenergo emphasized.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy approved repair schedules for energy facilities to avoid power deficits.
Due to the increase in electricity consumption in Ukraine since the onset of cold weather, it is important to take measures for the rational use of electrical appliances for the effective operation of the energy system.
