Up to 70 hryvnias per kilo: what is happening with the prices of potatoes, onions, and carrots in supermarkets and markets.


The prices for potatoes, onions, and carrots in supermarkets increased in December, reports the Minfin portal. The cost of vegetables is becoming a problem for many Ukrainians, as they are no longer cheap. Let's take a closer look at the prices for potatoes, onions, and carrots in various stores and markets.
The price of potatoes has risen from 31.67 UAH/kg to 34.77 UAH/kg, while young potatoes now cost 39.90 UAH/kg.
White onions are sold for 66.60 UAH/kg, onion - for 17.45 UAH/kg, and blue onions have a price of 29.90 UAH/kg.
The average price for carrots is 30.2 UAH per kilo, however, prices can vary significantly in different stores.
In the Kyiv market, the prices for vegetables are a bit lower: potatoes cost from 23 to 25 UAH per kilo, onions - from 14 to 16 UAH per kilo, carrots - from 23 to 28 UAH per kilo.
In Odesa, the price of potatoes ranges from 30 to 35 UAH per kilo, onions - from 25 to 30 UAH per kilo, and young carrots - from 35 to 45 UAH per kilo.
It is also worth noting that prices for eggs and sunflower oil continue to rise in Ukraine.
