Is Putin Ready for Peace Talks: An Analysis of Prospects.

Europe cannot develop its own strategy for 2024 that is less dependent on the US. It still needs the goodwill of an ally who may turn out to be unreliable. Many allies are hoping for a peace deal between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. But what happens if Russia refuses to come to the negotiating table? Many experts believe that Putin will continue the war as long as his economy allows it.
Europe is not paying enough attention to this issue. Russia may refuse negotiations and leave Europe unprepared to support Ukraine and Trump. Alternatively, Putin may drag out the negotiations to offer a deal that provides minimal security guarantees. If Russia refuses to negotiate, Moscow may hinder the achievement of peace, in which case the US may strengthen its support for Ukraine and influence on the battlefield.
But the worst thing is that Europe is not demonstrating its readiness to support Ukraine. It must show its moral and military support not only in the fight but also in the potential victory.
