U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz spoke about the tense meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. After the conflict in the Oval Office, American officials decided to end the negotiations early.
Listen, we had a meeting after the press was asked to leave the room, and we agreed that after that insult in the Oval Office, we could not continue.
Particularly sharply against Zelensky's reaction was U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who stated that Time is not on his side and American aid is not limitless.
Trump's advisor emphasized doubts about Zelensky's desire to stop the hostilities, noting that his appearance did not correspond to the importance of such a meeting.
It is unclear whether Zelensky truly wishes to end the war. He appeared inadequately dressed for addressing such issues. The vice president said, 'Enough.' The president said, 'Enough.' And I must tell you, this is the wrong approach, the wrong moment in history, and not the kind of president with whom to have such discussions. This is not Joe Biden.
