Biden reveals how he dissuaded Putin from a nuclear strike on Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden revealed details of his conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin regarding the possibility of using nuclear weapons against Ukraine. In an interview with MSNBC, Biden stated that during the conversation he understood that Putin intended to use tactical nuclear weapons. He quoted Putin's words: 'No, I don't want to do this.' Biden also dismissed Putin's fears about a nuclear threat from Ukraine and stated that Ukraine does not have nuclear weapons and the US does not plan to return them.
The US President noted that he is trying to prevent a Russian invasion and spoke about the conditions under which this is possible. He stated that Ukraine must change its system before becoming a NATO member. Biden emphasized that the US is ready to assist Ukraine, but only on the condition that Russia does not attack it and does not take its territory.
However, Biden acknowledged that he anticipated a Russian invasion of Ukraine, although many US allies doubted it.
