A pardon means that Hunter Biden will not be prosecuted for his crimes and will not go to jail.

After receiving the notice of the pardon, the judges reviewing Hunter Biden's cases will cancel the sentencing hearings scheduled for December 12 and 16 respectively.

Biden explained that he pardoned his son because he believes that he has been 'unfairly targeted' and treated differently than other criminals.

The president also stated that his political opponents in Congress attempted to 'frame' his son in order to compromise him.
