Plane crash in Kazakhstan: expert explains why Russians mistook the plane for a drone.

Aviation expert Bohdan Dolintse claims that the reason for the plane crash in Kazakhstan was inadequate crew training and the inability to operate air defense systems. He noted that the Russians denied the plane from Azerbaijan landing at airports in Russia and, after the collision with a missile, did not provide assistance. Such actions by the Russian military complicated the possibility of a safe landing.
Dolintse emphasized that passenger planes differ from drones in many parameters and are almost impossible to confuse. Therefore, it is likely that gross errors or a lack of professionalism and training of the air defense personnel occurred.
As a result of the plane crash, 67 passengers and 5 crew members died. The official cause was reported as a bird strike, but the expert's statements suggest the influence of the Russian military on the events. Moreover, a burst oxygen cylinder caused the passengers to lose consciousness.

The head of Rosaviatsiya, Dmytro Yadrov, stated that heavy fog and limited visibility at an altitude of 500 meters were one of the main causes of the plane crash. The aircraft commander unsuccessfully attempted to land in Grozny. The President of Azerbaijan believes that the plane was shot down, while Russian President Putin apologized for the crash occurring in their airspace. Some experts also believe that the plane may have been damaged by Russian military before being sent to Kazakhstan.
