Recovery Army: 40 thousand unemployed and IDPs have found work.


The 'Recovery Army' program continues to evolve and gain momentum. Since the beginning of the year, over 40 thousand referrals have been issued for temporarily unemployed Ukrainians and unemployed internally displaced persons (IDPs). A total of 342 million UAH has been allocated for wage payments.
According to the State Employment Service, participants in the 'Recovery Army' program perform a wide range of tasks: from providing assistance to those affected by hostilities to large-scale restoration works on critical infrastructure and the construction of defensive structures for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Each region has its own priorities determined in cooperation with military administrations and commands, depending on current needs.
The 'Recovery Army' project helps those who have lost their jobs due to the war, providing new knowledge and practical experience. It is an initiative that opens up horizons for professional recovery and adaptation to new living conditions, helping people not only find new jobs but also develop important skills for future career growth.
The service offers those registered the opportunity to join various works. The payment is up to 1.5 minimum wages, which today is equivalent to 12 thousand UAH for a full month of work.
Currently, socially useful work is actively being carried out in 19 regions of Ukraine.
Top-3 most active regions:
1. Kharkiv region — 37 thousand referrals;
2. Donetsk region — 29 thousand referrals;
3. Kyiv region — 28 thousand referrals.
In the Kharkiv region, large-scale work is being carried out to restore the housing stock and infrastructure, including important facilities for ensuring the livelihood of cities and towns. The Donetsk region, despite difficult conditions, continues to actively involve citizens in works aimed at rebuilding destroyed cities and restoring social institutions. The Kyiv region, despite being the most urbanized, is also actively working on restoring important infrastructure facilities that are significant not only for the capital but for the entire central part of the country.
The 'Recovery Army' project is key for Ukraine as it helps address social, economic, and infrastructure issues caused by the war. It contributes to rebuilding infrastructure, creates jobs for the unemployed and internally displaced citizens, helping them adapt. It promotes the economic recovery of the country.
