How the power system is ready for frost: The Ministry of Energy responded to what awaits Ukrainians.

Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Mykola Kolisnyk stated that even in the nearest frosts, Ukrainians will not be left without light.
During the telethon "Unified News" Kolisnyk announced that the temperature drop will not affect the schedules of power outages.
"The power system is currently operating stably. The predicted frosts will not be prolonged," - noted Kolisnyk.
According to him, the start of the heating season in Ukraine will be determined by local authorities when the air temperature remains below +8 degrees for three days.
Kolisnyk emphasized that only prolonged periods of low temperatures affect the power system, leading to an increase in electricity consumption.
"At present, all necessary measures have been taken. We have pre-conducted the technical preparation of nuclear power plants for operation. Nine blocks are already operating in the system, providing us with additional capacity. We can meet the growing demand," Kolisnyk reported.
On October 9, 2024, Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko stated that all 9 blocks of nuclear power plants in Ukraine have already completed repair works, and the country is ready for the heating season "at the maximum level".
