Remote Pension Application - What You Need to Know in 2025.


The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) explained how citizens can apply for a pension entirely online. Ukrainians were provided with instructions and a complete list of documents required in 2025.

Experts of the Pension Fund clarified that in 2025, to receive a pension for old age, citizens need a minimum of 32 years of insurance experience for 60-year-olds, 22 years for 63-year-olds, and 15 years for 65-year-olds.
If you do not have enough experience for a pension at 60, you can apply for a pension at 63 or 65, if you meet the experience requirements for those age categories.
Citizens have the opportunity to apply for a pension completely online. For this, they need to prepare a package of documents and have a qualified electronic signature (QES) or Diia.Signature.
- Ukrainian passport;
- identification code;
- employment record book/other documents regarding work experience;
- children's birth certificate;
- marriage certificate (documents in case of a name change);
- education documents;
- military ID;
- other documents specified by the system, depending on the type of pension.
Regarding the requirements for digital copies of documents, they must be clear, color, in JPG, JPEG, or PDF format; multi-page documents must be in one file; names should match the content (for example: employment.pdf, passport.jpeg).
To submit a pension application, you need to go to the Pension Fund's electronic services portal, log in through QES or Diia.Signature, select the 'Application for Pension Appointment' option, specify the type of pension, fill out the questionnaire, upload digital copies of the documents, check, sign, and send the application to the PFU.
After submission, you can track the status of your application in the 'My Inquiries' menu, added the Pension Fund.
